We worked with our wonderful client to remodel his master bathroom and give it an updated yet, classic feel. This project brought an outdated bathroom into a more open, bright, and sellable transitional bathroom. If you want to learn more about transitional design, you can read our blog about it and hopefully get some transitional master bathroom remodel ideas.
Like many homes we renovate, this one’s dated 90’s style needed a bit of a refresh eg. oak cabinets, laminate countertops, and vinyl floors. Since remodeling, our client has been able to enjoy his space much more and looks forward to the many years he has ahead relaxing in this inviting room.
It thrilled us with how closely the 3D renders and our finished result ended up. We work so hard to make your visions come together from design to build. Our interior designers are masters at understanding our clients' needs and visions and bringing them to life. It's even more incredible when it comes together in real life and you end up with a transitional bathroom that looks like it belongs in 2020. Our client wanted a bigger shower and to make his space feel more open altogether. We were so happy to tear out the carpet (yes! carpet) from his bathroom and give him some new beautiful hexagonal tiles. We know this will be a much better space to enjoy and relax in.
The plumbing we chose is all very coherent although it is from a few different brands. The great part about shopping different brands like that is you can save some money while keeping your design style. The tricky part is making sure that the final finishes will match. If you stick with a polished chrome or stainless steel throughout you should be good to go as those are standard. If you are going tor a bronze or gold finish, it is best to stick with the same brand throughout since each brands finish might be a shade or two different from the other.
This widespread facuet adds a beautiful elegance to the vanity area and ties in both the tub and shower fixtures.
This shower will be both functional and beautiful for our client. An overhead faucet in the shower gives an amazing experience and this set includes a hand shower for any other hard to reach areas! Its is amazing when form and function can meet to make something beautiful.
A wall-mounted tub faucet was the only option for this client so that we could save on space. This wall mount tub faucet in brushed nickel was a beautiful addition to the remodel. Some people opt for the (usually cheaper) floor mounted option, but we love how elegant and seamless this looks mounted above the tub.
The beautiful freestanding tub really pulls the entire bathroom together for us and adds the perfect transitional touch. This bathtub is modern looking with its egg-like shape and feel and replaces what would be a claw-foot tub in an american traditional style. We love this choice and how it looks too!
Another of our favorite features for this bathroom is the gorgeous and bold tile choices. The hexagon shape here on the floor tile adds the modern touch while the Carrara marble keeps it looking classic. Carrara marble is a great choice for any bathroom remodel. This tile will be very durable and sustain lots of wear and tear while remaining beautiful!
Subway tile is a classic and an amazing option for any bathroom. Not only is it cost-effective but also adds a timeless look to any bathroom. These tiles have been in "style" for ages and show no sign of becoming un-trendy. To learn more about tile and the different kinds that might be right for your project you can read our Complete Guide to Tile article.
This toilet is the perfect mix of eco-friendly and beautiful. It doesn't distract from the rest of the bathroom but seamlessly blends with the other fixtures.
The matching mirrors make the vanity feel coherent with the space and tie in the other greys. They are wall mounted and fall just below the tile line which helps make everything feel a little more grounded and put together. They pair so nicely with the sconces as well.
The final piece is the shower glass enclosure. The best way to make any bathroom feel bigger is to skip the shower curtain and opt for glsass wherever you can. We did that here and it really paid off, what a beautiful way to finish off this goreous transitional master bathroom.
