Novel Coronavirus outbreak 2020

March 17, 2020

We wanted to take a minute to update our customers and Pros about how Bamboo Remodeling is handling the current outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19). We are taking this global epidemic very seriously and want to be transparent as always in our company's policies and beliefs.

We are closely monitoring the situation and have several plans in place in case of a need for projects to pause temporarily. We will openly communicate with any clients and employees affected as needed.

As of March 13, 2020 we are still open and operating at full capacity. Since Bamboo is a primarily remote company, we can continue to offer excellent service to our clients while keeping our employees and Pros safe. Our process starts with a single site visit by our 3D scanner to create a digital clone of a home owner’s property, and then our estimates, our design phase (with 3D renderings) and our plan phase (financial analysis, scheduling and materials lists) are completed with few or zero on site visits.

We are equipping our on site Pros and 3D scanner with soap / sanitizer, gloves, and masks to significantly reduce risks of transmission while on site. We also use remote video cameras, digital locks and other techniques to enable remote quality validation and assurance without having to send more people to our customers' homes.

At pressing times like these, we are especially grateful for technology and the ability to stay connected online in the safety of our own homes. We wish everyone health and safety as we all move through this time together in Austin and around the world. We hope this will pass quickly so we can continue building and improving the city we love.

We wanted to remind everyone that the CDC has advised the best ways to mitigate spread and protect yourself are to:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom, before eating and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
  • Use alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol if soap is not available.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using regular household cleaning sprays or wipes.
  • Stay home if you feel sick.

Thank you so much for your continued loyalty and patience as we all move through this confusing time together.
